John T. Morris was a member of the class of 1867 of Haverford College, though he entered in 1863 and left at the close of his sophomore year. He held various positions, including as president of I.P. The Morris Arboretum at the University of Pennsylvania is the official Arboretum of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
